Vizard alternatives, compared

Vizard is a capable AI clipper with a free plan and a low price per minute. People look elsewhere when its clips need too much finishing, when their language isn't among its 40, or when the free plan's 720p and watermark get in the way. Here are the ten tools they weigh instead, with prices from their own sites. We make the first one, and we'll say why it's first.

Why people switch from Vizard

Vizard sells a lot of minutes for the money: billed yearly, its Creator plan comes to $0.0242 a minute of video, less than most of this list. So people rarely leave it over price. They leave over the work after the clip. In Vizard you pick a length range, from under 30 seconds to 3 minutes, or let it decide, and the clips are made to be refined in its editor. When you post several clips a day, that's a stop between every link and every post.

Then there are the limits. Vizard transcribes 40 languages (it can translate captions into 128), and its free plan exports at 720p with a watermark, with projects that expire after 3 days. If you clip in a language outside its list, or want to judge a tool by clips you could actually post, those settle it.

Our pick: an AI clipping tool built for clippers

Clyper

Yes, we make it, so of course it's first. Vizard costs less per minute, and we won't pretend otherwise. Clyper is the pick when what you're paying for is clips you don't have to work on: paste a link up to 4 hours long and get up to 30 clips, each cut to its moment, framed, captioned and scored.

Best for

  • Clips you can post as they come: each cut to its moment on whole sentences, 20 to 60 seconds, instead of to a length range you set and then refine.
  • Captions in 50+ languages, word by word, where Vizard transcribes 40.
  • Lots of links at once: Studio takes 10 YouTube links in one go, with 1,000 minutes of video a month.

Good to know

  • Vizard costs less per minute: $0.0242 on its yearly Creator plan, against $0.0475 on Clyper Pro.
  • There's no free plan, but Starter is $20 month to month, so a month is all it takes to try it.

How to choose

  1. Whose videos you clip. If it's other creators' YouTube videos, for campaigns, you need a tool that takes any public link. That narrows it fast.
  2. How much you'll clip. Work out the hours of video a month, then compare the price per minute, not the price per plan.
  3. How much you want to edit. Clips ready to post, or an editor to finish them in. Every step you add, you repeat on every clip.
  4. Try it on a real video. Use a free plan where there is one, or a month of the smallest plan, on the kind of video you'll actually clip.

Every tool, side by side: AI clipping tools compared. Clipping more than you can watch? Studio takes 10 links at once.

Questions

What is the best Vizard alternative?

For clippers, Clyper: its clips come cut to whole sentences, framed on whoever's talking, captioned in 50+ languages and scored, ready to post as they come. If the lowest price per minute matters most, 2short.ai costs less than Vizard; if you want a free plan, OpusClip and 2short.ai have one.

Is there a free alternative to Vizard?

OpusClip has a free plan (60 minutes a month, with a watermark, and clips that can't be exported after 3 days); Klap has one video free to try; 2short.ai has a free plan (30 minutes a month); quso.ai has a free plan in some countries (75 minutes a month at 720p, with a watermark); Spikes Studio has a free plan (demo clips, and up to 30 minutes of video a month by its FAQ, at 720p with a watermark); Submagic has a free trial (3 short videos, with a watermark); StreamLadder has a free clip editor (with a 7-day trial of its AI clipping); Descript has a free plan (1 hour of media at 720p, with a watermark); CapCut has a free editor (if you cut each clip by hand). Clyper has no free plan; Starter is $20 month to month, so a month is enough to try it on your own videos.

Which Vizard alternative is cheapest?

Of the tools that charge by the minute, 2short.ai costs least: $0.0166 on Premium and $0.0221 on Pro, month to month, a little under Vizard's $0.0242 on its yearly Creator plan. quso.ai's Growth comes to $0.0408 on a yearly plan bought by November 1, 2026, and Clyper's yearly Pro to $0.0475. Month to month, Vizard's Creator is $0.0483 a minute, against $0.0950 on Clyper Pro. Descript's media hours come to less, $0.0133 a minute on its yearly Creator plan, but they're hours in its editor, for files you upload rather than links, and its AI features use AI credits on top.

Why do people switch from Vizard?

Mostly for clips that need less work: Vizard's are cut to a length range and made to be refined in its editor. Then languages (it transcribes 40) and, on the free plan, 720p exports with a watermark and projects that expire after 3 days. Price is rarely the reason: billed yearly, Vizard costs less per minute than most tools.

Which Vizard alternatives take YouTube links?

Clyper, Klap, Spikes Studio, 2short.ai and quso.ai take YouTube links. Submagic does with its Magic Clips add-on. OpusClip does once you confirm the YouTube channel is yours. StreamLadder's AI clipping takes Twitch and Kick links, and YouTube videos as uploaded files. CapCut and Descript work from uploaded files.
