MP3, M4A or WAV?
MP3 plays everywhere, from phones to car stereos and podcast hosts. M4A is AAC sound, the same kind most videos carry: it sounds a little better than MP3 at the same size, and plays on Apple devices and most others. WAV isn't compressed at all, so it's for editing, not sharing.

Questions
How do I convert a video to MP3?
Choose the video, leave MP3 picked, choose a quality and press Convert to MP3. When it's done, play it to check and press Download MP3. To keep only part of it, drag the ends of the bar first.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads the video, takes out the sound and saves the audio file, all on your device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
Can I convert just part of a video?
Yes. Drag either end of the bar under the video, type the start and end times, or play it and press Now at each point. Leave the bar as it is to convert the whole video.
Which quality should I pick?
128 kbps for speech and podcasts (about 1.0 MB a minute), 192 kbps for most things, and 320 kbps for music. A video's sound is already compressed, so a higher bitrate can't add detail the video didn't have.
Can I convert a YouTube video to MP3?
This converts video files on your device, not links. Saving the sound of other people's YouTube videos goes against YouTube's terms. For your own videos, download them from YouTube Studio and convert them here.
