Jordan Mackey, faceless clipper · $1,200/moClipping by hand vs with Clyper
By our estimate, 10 clips from a two-hour podcast take about 3 h 10 min by hand, even worked the fast way, one pass at a time over every clip. With Clyper, the finding, cutting, framing and captions happen while you do something else, and your time goes on checking the clips and writing the posts: about 1 h 20 min.
| Pass | By hand | Your time with Clyper |
|---|---|---|
| Find | 30 min | None: Clyper reads the whole video |
| Cut | 20 min | None: cut on whole sentences |
| Tighten and frame | 35 min | None: framed 9:16 on whoever's talking |
| Caption | 45 min | None: every word, clear of the buttons |
| Hook text | 20 min | None on Pro and Studio: a headline on every clip |
| Export | 10 min | None: 1080 × 1920 MP4s, ready to download |
| Post text and schedule | 30 min | 30 min, the same |
| Check and fix each clip | Part of the passes above | 5 min a clip: 50 min |
| All 10 clips | 3 h 10 min | 1 h 20 min |
The minutes are the worked example in how to clip faster: assumed, not measured, so time your own. On Starter, which has no headlines, add your hook text back in. And no AI clipper catches everything: a moment carried by a picture rather than words, like a silent reaction, is one to cut yourself. What AI clipping does well and where you still decide is in AI clipping vs manual clipping.
Different clips for every account
You choose how many clips a video gives, up to one for every 2 minutes of it: a 20-minute video gives up to 10, a 45-minute one up to 22, and an hour or more up to 30, for the same credits. Or leave it on Auto, and Clyper picks about one for every 6 minutes, up to 10, and stops at the strong ones.
That's enough for each of your accounts to post clips of its own. Never post the same clip on two accounts on one app: how to run multiple clip accounts explains why, and what each app allows. On Pro and Studio, the brand kit gives each account a look of its own: up to 10 caption styles with your fonts, colors, size and placement.
What a month of clipping costs
A credit is a minute of video, however many clips you take from it, so a plan is how much video you can clip in a month. Ask for the most clips from each video, one for every 2 minutes, and every credit goes furthest:
| Plan | Credits a month | Video it covers | Clips, up to | About a day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 150 | 2 h 30 min | 75 | 2 |
| Pro | 400 | 6 h 40 min | 200 | 6 |
| Studio | 1,000 | 16 h 40 min | 500 | 16 |
| Studio 2× | 2,000 | 33 h 20 min | 1,000 | 32 |
| Studio 4× | 4,000 | 66 h 40 min | 2,000 | 65 |
Every video uses at least 10 credits, and a video that gives no clips has its credits returned. Starter is month to month; Pro and Studio cost less billed yearly. To find the plan for the videos you clip, try the free AI clipping cost calculator.
What clipping campaigns pay
Most campaigns pay a set amount per 1,000 views (the CPM) out of a budget, often with a cap on what one clip can earn. When our guide to finding campaigns checked the listings on October 11, 2026, most paid between $0.50 and $2 per 1,000 views. At $1, a clip with 10,000 views earns $10, before any marketplace's cut.
So a plan can pay for itself quickly: at $1 per 1,000 views, 2 clips that reach 10,000 views each cover a month of Starter at $20. Many clips get far fewer views, so post your strongest first: that's what the hook score is for. Put in your own rate, views and clips a day in the free clipping earnings calculator, and see how much clippers make.
Clips that stay inside the campaign's rules
Every campaign has a brief: the footage to use, the apps that count, the length, the tags, the ad disclosure and how soon to submit. Clips are checked against it, and one missed rule can get a clip turned down. Clyper takes care of the making:
- The campaign's own footage. Paste the YouTube link the brief points to, or upload the file it gives you (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 4 GB).
- Long enough. Clips run 20 to 60 seconds, cut on whole sentences, and you can extend either end by up to 15 seconds to meet a minimum length.
- Clean. No watermark on any plan, so the only branding is what the campaign asks for.
- Captioned. Every word, in the language that's spoken, inside the safe zone, clear of the apps' buttons.
The rest is yours: the tags, the disclosure, posting from your own account and submitting each link in time. Some campaigns ban AI-generated content. Clyper cuts, frames and captions the creator's real footage and adds no AI voices or faces, but if a brief is unclear, ask before you post: see can you use AI for clipping? The usual reasons clips are turned down are in why clipping campaigns reject clips, and why a campaign is your permission to post in is clipping legal?
Where to find clipping campaigns
Most campaigns are listed on a few marketplaces: Content Rewards (formerly Whop Content Rewards), Vyro and Clipster. Creators and agencies also run programs of their own. How to find clipping campaigns covers where to look and how to read a brief, clipping platforms compared puts the marketplaces' fees and payouts side by side, and which streamers and creators pay clippers lists creators' own programs. Clyper isn't affiliated with any of them.
Before you join one, check what you'd be promoting, and the apps' rules and your local laws if it's gambling: can you clip gambling streams?
What to look for in a clipping tool
Whatever you clip with, these decide how far a month of campaigns goes. Here's where Clyper stands on each:
- Clips per video: up to 30, and you choose how many.
- Which videos: any public or unlisted YouTube link, with no channel check, or an upload.
- Watermark: none, on every plan.
- What a credit buys: a minute of video, however many clips it makes.
- Which clip to post first: a hook score on every clip, on every plan.
- Captions: word by word, timed to the voice, clear of the apps' buttons.

Questions
What's the best AI clipping tool for clippers?
Clyper is made for clipping campaigns: paste any YouTube link, with no channel check, choose up to 30 clips, and get them cut on whole sentences, framed on whoever's talking, captioned clear of the apps' buttons and scored for their hook, with no watermark on any plan. It's first in our ranking of AI clipping tools.
Can I use Clyper on any campaign's video?
Any public or unlisted YouTube video from 1 minute to 4 hours long, whoever's channel it's on, or the campaign's own file (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 4 GB). Private, members-only and age-restricted videos don't work. Clip only videos a campaign or the creator lets you post.
How many clips can I get from one campaign video?
As many as you choose, up to one for every 2 minutes of video and 30 from one video: a 30-minute video gives up to 15. A credit is a minute of video, however many clips you ask for.
Can I post the clips on several accounts?
Yes. The clips are yours to download and post. Give each account different clips rather than the same clip twice on one app, and follow each campaign's rules on where and how often to post.
Does Clyper post or submit the clips for me?
No. Clyper makes the clips; you download them, post them from your own accounts and submit the links to the campaign in time.
Do clipping campaigns accept clips made with AI?
Each campaign decides. Some ban AI-generated content, and not every ban says whether AI editing of the creator's real footage counts. Clyper cuts, frames and captions the real footage and adds no AI voices or faces. If a brief is unclear, ask before you post.
How much does Clyper cost for clipping?
Starter is $20 a month for 150 credits, up to 75 clips, month to month. Pro is $19 a month billed yearly for 400 credits, up to 200 clips. A credit is a minute of video, and there's no free plan.
Clip your next campaign video
Paste its YouTube link. Clyper finds the best moments, frames whoever's talking and captions every word: up to 30 clips, scored for their hook, ready to post and submit.
