How to use the AI clipping cost calculator
- Put in your videos. How many long videos you clip a month and about how long they run. Four 90-minute podcasts a month are 4 videos of 90 minutes.
- Pick your clips. Leave it on Auto, or ask for up to one clip for every 2 minutes of video, 30 at most from one video. It changes what a clip costs, not the credits.
- Choose how you'd pay. Month to month, or billed yearly for 50% less a month on Pro and Studio. Starter is month to month only.
- Start with your plan. The calculator picks the plan that covers your month for the least, shows what it comes to a video, a clip and an hour of video, and its button takes you to that plan's checkout.
How Clyper's pricing works
You pay for minutes of video, not clips. A credit is one minute of the video you put in, rounded up, and every video uses at least 10. An hour-long podcast is 60 credits whether you ask for 1 clip or 30, so the more clips you take from a video, the less each one costs.
Each plan gives credits every month. Starter gives 150, Pro 400 and Studio 1,000, with Studio 2× and 4× for 2,000 and 4,000 when a team or an agency clips more. A Studio credit costs the same at every size. Pro adds every caption style, a hook headline on each clip and a brand kit; Studio adds priority processing and bulk link import.
Billed yearly, it's 50% less a month. Pro and Studio can be billed yearly, paid for 12 months at once, and their credits still come every month. That puts Pro at no more a month than Starter, which is sold month to month only: the way to try Clyper for a month first.
No clips, no charge. If a video gives no clips, its credits are returned. Every plan exports at 1080p with no watermark, and you can cancel anytime in the billing portal.

| Plan | Credits a month | Month to month | Billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1502.5 hours of video, up to 75 clips | $20/mo$8.00 an hour | Month to month only |
| Pro | 4006.7 hours of video, up to 200 clips | $38/mo$5.70 an hour | $19/mo$2.85 an hour |
| Studio | 1,00016.7 hours of video, up to 500 clips | $96/mo$5.76 an hour | $48/mo$2.88 an hour |
| Studio 2× | 2,00033.3 hours of video, up to 1,000 clips | $192/mo$5.76 an hour | $96/mo$2.88 an hour |

A worked example: 6 one-hour videos a month
Say you clip 6 hour-long podcasts a month and leave the clips on Auto. That's 6 hours of video, so 360 credits, and Auto makes about 10 clips from each, 60 in all. Starter's 150 credits don't cover it; Pro's 400 do, with 40 to spare.
Month to month, Pro is $38 a month. That's $6.33 a video, $0.63 a clip and $6.33 an hour of video. Billed yearly, it's $19 a month, or $228 for the year: $3.17 a video and $0.32 a clip.
Ask for the most clips instead, 30 from each, and the credits stay at 360, so a clip costs $0.21 month to month, or $0.11 billed yearly. And 360 of 400 credits leaves 40 minutes for a longer month; past that, Studio is the next plan up, which the calculator shows whenever you're close.
When you clip more than a plan covers
Move up a plan in the app whenever you need to. A bigger plan adds the difference in credits straight away, and you pay the difference in price for the rest of the month, or of the year if you're billed yearly.
Studio comes in 2× and 4× sizes for teams and agencies, up to 4,000 credits a month: 66.7 hours of video. Past that, email [email protected] for more credits. A video longer than 4 hours goes in as parts, at the same credit a minute.
What the price buys
Clyper takes any public or unlisted YouTube link, or an upload, and finds the moments that stand on their own. It cuts each on whole sentences, frames it 9:16 on whoever's talking, captions every word in 5 styles and gives it a hook score: up to 30 clips a video, ready to post, with no watermark on any plan. See it on podcast clips, stream clips and YouTube to Shorts, and pick your plan on the pricing.

Questions
How much does AI clipping cost on Clyper?
It depends on how many minutes of video you clip, since a credit is a minute. Starter gives 150 credits a month, Pro 400 and Studio 1,000, with Studio 2× and 4× for 2,000 and 4,000. Put your videos into the calculator above to see the plan that covers your month, in your currency, and what it comes to a video, a clip and an hour of video.
What is a credit?
One minute of the video you put in, rounded up, and every video uses at least 10. A 45-minute video uses 45 credits, however many clips you ask for. If a video gives no clips, its credits are returned.
Do more clips cost more credits?
No. Credits count minutes of video, not clips. You can ask for up to one clip for every 2 minutes of video and 30 from one video, and an hour-long video is 60 credits either way, so the more clips you take, the less each one costs. Leave it on Auto and Clyper picks about one for every 6 minutes, up to 10.
What does a minute of video cost?
A plan's price divided by its credits. Billed yearly, Pro and Studio cost 50% less a month, so their minutes do too, and a Studio credit costs the same at every size. Starter's minutes cost the most. The table above shows what an hour of video costs on each plan, in your currency, and the calculator works it out for the video you clip.
Should I pay monthly or yearly?
Billed yearly, Pro and Studio cost 50% less a month, paid for 12 months at once, and the credits still come every month. That puts Pro at no more a month than Starter, with 400 credits instead of 150. Starter is month to month only, so it's the way to try Clyper for a month first.
What if I clip more video than my plan covers?
Move up a plan in the app: a bigger plan adds the difference in credits straight away, and you pay the difference in price for the rest of the month, or of the year if you're billed yearly. Studio 4× gives 4,000 credits a month, 66.7 hours of video. For more than that, email [email protected].
Is there a free trial?
There's no free trial or free plan. Starter is month to month with no commitment, so you can try Clyper for a month and cancel anytime in the billing portal.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. It's free, there's nothing to sign up for, and what you type stays in your browser.
