Audiogram maker

Turn a podcast's audio into a video the apps will take: your cover, the show and episode, bars that move with the sound and captions from the speech, as a 9:16, square or 16:9 MP4. Or put a whole episode over its cover for YouTube. It runs on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

MP3, WAV or M4A, or a video's sound. It's made on your device: nothing is uploaded.

Cover

A square JPG or PNG works best. Without one, the show's initials stand in.

Write the captions from the speech, on your device: the speech model is a one-time download of about 76 MB.

1080 × 1920 MP4, free, no watermark. It takes about as long as the part plays.

How to make an audiogram

  1. Open your audio: an MP3, WAV or M4A, or a video to use its sound.
  2. Choose the part. Drag the ends of the bar to a moment that stands on its own: a strong opinion, a story, a surprising answer. 30 to 60 seconds is plenty.
  3. Make it yours: add the show's cover and the episode's title, and pick the colors. With a cover, it can blur behind everything too.
  4. Add captions from the speech, check the words, then make the audiogram and download the MP4.

Audiograms or video clips?

An audiogram is the way to post an audio-only show where only video goes. But if your show is filmed, clips of the people talking hold attention better: faces, reactions and captions on the picture.

That's what Clyper makes from a filmed episode: it finds the best moments, frames each one on whoever is talking and captions every word. See podcast clips with Clyper and how to clip a podcast.

Questions

What is an audiogram?

A short video made from audio: the show's cover, bars or a waveform that move with the sound, and usually captions. It lets an audio podcast post on TikTok, Reels, Shorts and other feeds that only take video.

How do I turn audio into a video?

Open your MP3, WAV or M4A, choose the part, add the show's cover, name and episode title, pick a shape and colors, and press Make the audiogram. For a whole episode on YouTube, choose Still picture.

Can it add captions automatically?

Yes. Add captions from the speech transcribes the part on your device, a few words at a time with the word being said lit up. You can fix any word before you make the video.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The sound is read, transcribed and turned into a video in your browser. Only the speech model is downloaded, once, if you add captions.

How long can an audiogram be?

With moving bars and captions, up to 10 minutes; 30 to 60 seconds does best on the apps. As a still picture, a whole episode of up to 2 hours, which makes quickly.

Is it free? Is there a watermark?

It's free, with no watermark and nothing to sign up for.

Filmed episodes, made into clips

Paste an episode's YouTube link and Clyper finds the moments worth posting, frames whoever's talking and captions every word: up to 30 vertical clips per episode.
