Video repurposing for businesses: every webinar and talk into on-brand clips

On Studio, queue up to 10 of your company's YouTube videos at once. Clyper turns each webinar, talk, demo and customer interview into vertical clips that frame the speaker, open on their hook and caption every word in your brand's style, with no watermark. Your team picks the best and posts them.

Pick your brand's caption style and how many clips each video gives. Every clip frames the speaker and opens on its hook.

  3. 3

    Review and post

Fix product names, trim to the word, reword a headline, then download 1080 × 1920 MP4s for LinkedIn, Shorts and Reels.

What you get

  • Your brand's caption styleOn Pro and Studio, the brand kit keeps up to 10 styles of your own: your colors, one of 6 fonts, the size and the placement.
  • Hook headlinesOn Pro and Studio, each clip opens with its hook on screen for 4 seconds. Reword it or remove it.
  • 10 videos at onceStudio's bulk import takes a list of YouTube links or a .txt or .csv file, and you follow them all on one page.
  • Priority processingWhen videos are waiting to be clipped, Studio's go first.
  • Speaker over the slideWhen the speaker is a small box in a corner of a shared screen, Clyper can give them the top 1080 × 608 and the middle of the slide below.

What a business can turn into clips

Clyper picks moments by what's said, from the transcript, then cuts each on whole sentences, frames whoever's talking and captions it. So it does best with the videos a company already has of people talking:

  • Webinars and launches. The insight, the stat, the best audience question, the moment the demo lands. See webinars to clips, and for getting the recording out, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.
  • Customer interviews and case studies. The answer that says why they chose you, in their own words. See interviews to clips.
  • Conference talks and keynotes. Every point that stands on its own can be a post, framed on the speaker.
  • Your podcast and YouTube channel. Paste an episode's link: see podcast clips and YouTube to Shorts.
  • Demos someone talks through. A silent screen recording gives Clyper little to pick from; one with a voice over it works.

Churches and ministries clip their services the same way: see sermons to clips. Every other kind of recording, and where each app keeps it, is on recordings to clips.

A video repurposing routine for a marketing team

Repurposing pays off as a habit rather than a project. Here's a weekly routine that runs on Clyper:

  1. Collect. Keep one list of the week's recordings: the webinar, the podcast episode, the customer interview you have permission to use.
  2. Batch. On Studio, paste the week's YouTube links together, up to 10 at a time or as a .txt or .csv file, so the whole batch gets your caption style, your headline setting and the same number of clips per video. Uploads and Google Drive or Dropbox links go in one at a time, up to 10 GB from a link.
  3. Review. Each video's clips come best first, by hook score. Keep the strongest, fix product names in the captions and get whatever sign-off your company needs before anything goes out.
  4. Post. Download the MP4s and post them on LinkedIn, Shorts, Reels and TikTok, yourself or with your scheduling tool. Clyper doesn't post or schedule.

What to clip from one webinar, with a three-week posting plan, is in how to turn a webinar into clips; the routine across every channel is in how to repurpose video content and short-form video strategy.

Your brand on every clip

The brand kit on Pro and Studio keeps up to 10 caption styles of your own. Each starts from one of Clyper's 5 animated styles and sets its own font (there are 6 to choose from), the colors of the text, the accent, the outline and the headline box, the size, how high the captions sit and whether they're in capitals. Set your brand's colors once and pick the style when you start a video or a batch. A clip keeps its look even if you change the style later.

On the same plans, every clip can open with its hook as an on-screen headline, a text hook, for 4 seconds, which you can reword in your own voice or remove. The captions sit above the username and caption each app shows at the bottom (see the safe zone), and no plan adds a Clyper watermark, so the only brand on a clip is yours. Clyper doesn't add logos: to put yours in a corner, the free watermark tool does it in your browser.

Which plan fits your team

A credit is a minute of video, however many clips you take from it, so a plan is how much of your video you can clip in a month. Studio is the plan made for teams: everything in Pro, plus bulk import and priority processing. Billed yearly, at up to one clip for every 2 minutes of video:

What Pro and Studio's sizes clip in a month, billed yearly
PlanCredits a monthVideo it clipsHour-long webinarsClips, up toBilled yearly
Pro4006 h 40 min6200$19/mo
Studio1,00016 h 40 min16500$48/mo
Studio 2×2,00033 h 20 min331,000$96/mo
Studio 4×4,00066 h 40 min662,000$192/mo

Pro clips 6 hour-long videos a month, enough for one person clipping a webinar a week. Studio clips 16: the webinars plus the podcast, the talks and the customer interviews, with YouTube links queued 10 at a time, and Studio 2× and Studio 4× give 2× and 4× the credits at the same price per credit. Starter, at $20 a month, has one caption style and no brand kit or headlines.

An hour-long webinar uses 60 credits, about $2.88 of Studio's billed yearly, and can give up to 30 clips. Every video uses at least 10 credits, and one that gives no clips has its credits returned. Plans are also month to month (Studio is $96 a month that way): compare them on the pricing page, or start with your latest recording.

Clips for LinkedIn, Shorts and Reels

Every clip is a 1080 × 1920 MP4 of 20 to 60 seconds, cut on whole sentences: the 9:16 shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts are made for, and one LinkedIn takes as it is. On LinkedIn, upload the clip itself rather than a link, and leave LinkedIn's auto captions off, since the captions are already in the video; how to post video on LinkedIn has the steps and specs.

Clyper makes 9:16 clips only. For a square or 4:5 post, the free video resizer turns a clip into either shape, cropped or on a blurred background. How Clyper keeps the speaker in the frame is on auto reframe, and how it captions in the video's own language on animated captions and captions in 50+ languages.

Get the OK of everyone in a clip

Agreeing to a recording isn't agreeing to be on LinkedIn. Before a clip of a customer, a guest speaker or a colleague goes out, get their OK, leave out attendees who didn't agree to be shown or named, and check your company's rules before posting anything from an internal meeting.

Your recordings are used to make your clips and aren't published anywhere. Uploaded videos are deleted 2 days after you upload them, and a file from a Drive or Dropbox link once its clips are made, so download the clips you want to keep. More in the privacy policy.

Choosing a video repurposing tool

For a marketing team, a few questions decide it: does it take the recordings you have, does every clip look like your brand, can you fix what the captions get wrong, is there a watermark, and what does an hour of video cost? On Clyper: uploads up to 4 GB and YouTube, Twitch, Google Drive and Dropbox links, clipped up to 4 hours at a time; up to 10 saved caption styles; captions you can edit word by word; no watermark on any plan; and 60 credits for an hour of video, however many clips you take.

Questions

What is video repurposing?

Turning one long video, like a webinar, a talk or a customer interview, into shorter pieces for other channels. With Clyper, that's vertical clips for LinkedIn, Shorts, Reels and TikTok: up to 30 from an hour of video, each cut on whole sentences, framed on the speaker and captioned.

Which Clyper plan suits a marketing team?

Studio, the plan made for teams: 1,000 credits a month, enough for 16 hour-long videos, with bulk import of up to 10 YouTube links, priority processing, the brand kit and hook headlines, for $48 a month billed yearly. One person clipping a webinar a week can start on Pro, $19 a month billed yearly for 400 credits.

Can our clips use our brand's fonts and colors?

Your colors, yes. The brand kit on Pro and Studio sets the text, accent, outline and headline colors, the size, the placement and the capitals of up to 10 caption styles. Fonts come from a list of 6, so you can't upload your own, and Clyper doesn't add logos: the free watermark tool puts one on a clip.

Does Clyper have team seats?

No. A Clyper account signs in with one email address, and there are no shared workspaces, so whoever runs video for the team makes the clips and shares the MP4s the way you share files now. Studio's bigger sizes add credits, not seats.

Can Clyper connect to Zoom, Teams or our webinar platform?

No, there are no integrations. Upload the recording (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 4 GB), or paste its YouTube, Twitch, Google Drive or Dropbox link (up to 10 GB from Drive or Dropbox). Clyper clips up to 4 hours at a time.

Does Clyper post to LinkedIn for us?

No. Clyper makes the clips; you download them and post them yourself or with your scheduling tool.

How many clips does a one-hour webinar give?

Up to 30: you choose how many, up to one for every 2 minutes of video and 30 in all, or leave it on Auto. It uses 60 credits however many you take.

Is our footage kept private?

It's used to make your clips and isn't published anywhere. Uploaded videos are deleted 2 days after you upload them, and files from Google Drive or Dropbox links once their clips are made.
