Clipping earnings calculator
Clipping campaigns pay for views, usually a set amount per 1,000. Put in a campaign's rate, how many views your clips get and how many you post, and see what that adds up to.
You could earn about
$456a month
- Per clip
- $5.00
- Per day
- $15
- Per year
- $5,475
- Views a month
- 456.3K
That's about 91 clips a month.
Clyper's Pro plan makes up to 200 clips a month for $19/mo, billed yearly. That leaves about $437 a month after the plan.
Make them with ProAn estimate, not a promise. What you earn depends on each campaign's rate, rules and caps, and on how your clips perform.
How the calculator works
A clip earns the campaign's rate for every 1,000 views it gets: rate × views ÷ 1,000. At $1 per 1,000 views, a clip with 5,000 views earns $5. Multiply by the clips you post a day for a day's earnings, and by 30.4 days for a month's.
Views per clip is the hardest number to guess. Use what your recent clips actually got, not your best one: a few clips take off, and most get far fewer views. The estimate is only as good as that number.
What moves the number
Volume. Every clip you post is another chance for one to take off, so how many clips you can make in a day matters as much as any single clip. Cutting, framing and captioning clips by hand is what usually limits it.
The first second. On a feed, people decide almost at once whether to keep watching. Clips that open on a strong line, with captions to read when the sound is off, get watched for longer, and longer watching usually means more views.
The campaign. A higher rate is only better if your clips fit it. Pick campaigns whose videos you can clip well, and check the rules and caps before you post.

Questions
How do clipping campaigns pay?
Most pay a set amount for every 1,000 views your clips get, counted on the clips you submit to the campaign. Many also cap what one clip can earn or have a total budget, and set rules for which platforms count, how long views are counted and what a clip needs to be approved. Read each campaign's rules before you post.
What rate per 1,000 views should I put in?
The rate the campaign lists. Rates differ between campaigns and platforms, so if you're choosing between campaigns, try each one's rate here and compare what your clips would earn.
How can I earn more from clipping?
Post more clips, and make each one count: open on the strongest line, keep captions on every word for people watching with the sound off, and post the clips most likely to hold attention first. The more good clips you post, the more chances one has to take off.
How many clips can Clyper make in a month?
As many as you choose from each video, up to one clip for every 2 minutes of it and 30 per video, and a minute of video uses one credit (at least 10 per video), however many clips you ask for. Starter's 150 credits make up to 75, Pro's 400 credits make up to 200, Studio's 1,000 credits make up to 500, Studio 2×'s 2,000 credits make up to 1,000, Studio 4×'s 4,000 credits make up to 2,000 clips a month.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. It's free, there's nothing to sign up for, and what you type stays in your browser.
