For clipping agencies

Clipping agency software: every client's clips, in their own style

On Studio, paste up to 10 client videos' YouTube links at once. Clyper turns each into vertical clips cut on whole sentences, framed on whoever's talking and captioned in the client's own style, each opening on its hook, with no watermark. Your team picks, polishes and delivers.

or upload a video

  • No watermark
  • 1080 × 1920 exports
  • Captions in 50+ languages
  • Up to 30 clips per video

How it works

  1. 1

    Queue a client's videos

On Studio, paste up to 10 YouTube links at once, or drop in a .txt or .csv list. Studio's videos go first when there's a wait.

  2. 2

    Get clips in their style

Pick the client's caption style from your brand kit and how many clips each video gives. Every clip opens on its hook as a headline.

  3. 3

    Polish and deliver

Check them best first, trim to the word, fix a name, reword a headline, then download clean 1080 × 1920 MP4s for the client.

What you get

  • 10 links at onceStudio's bulk import works through a client's videos in turn, and you follow them all on one page.
  • Priority processingWhen videos are waiting to be clipped, Studio's go first.
  • A look for each clientOn Pro and Studio, the brand kit keeps up to 10 caption styles of your own: font, colors, size and placement.
  • Hook headlinesOn Pro and Studio, every clip opens with its hook on screen for 4 seconds. Reword it or remove it.
  • Edits for client notesTrim to the word, extend either end by up to 15 seconds, fix a word or switch the style. Edits use no credits.
  • No watermarkClean files on every plan, with no Clyper mark, so the clips go out as your client's.

“Tripled our client load without hiring anyone. Clyper is basically a second team.”

How agencies make clips at scale

Past a few clients, clipping is a workflow problem: every week, each client's new videos have to become clips in that client's style, delivered on the same day. Here's how it runs on Clyper:

  1. Intake. Keep each client's new videos in one list, added as they go live.
  2. Batch by client. On Studio, paste one client's links together, up to 10 at a time or as a .txt or .csv file, so the whole batch gets their caption style, their headline setting and the same number of clips per video. Clyper works through them in turn, with priority processing when there's a wait.
  3. Pick. Each video's clips come best first, by hook score. Keep the strongest.
  4. Polish. Trim to the word, fix names in the captions, reword a headline.
  5. Deliver. Download into each client's folder, or post them if you run their accounts. Clyper doesn't post or schedule.

Each step in more depth, with what to report back each month, is in how to start a clipping agency.

Each client's look, saved once

The brand kit on Pro and Studio keeps up to 10 caption styles of your own, one for each client. Each starts from one of Clyper's 5 animated styles and sets its own font (there are 6 to choose from), the colors of the text, the accent, the outline and the headline box, the size, how high the captions sit and whether they're in capitals. Pick it when you start a batch, or switch a clip to it in the editor. A clip keeps its look even if you change the style later.

On the same plans, every clip can open with its hook as an on-screen headline, a text hook, for 4 seconds, which you can reword or remove. The captions sit in the safe zone, clear of the apps' buttons. And Clyper follows whoever's talking (speaker tracking) and stacks a streamer's webcam over the game, so podcast, stream and interview clients all get clips framed for a phone.

What a clip costs you, by hand and with Clyper

Your time is the big cost of a clip, not the tool. By our estimate, using the free clipping rate calculator's example minutes, a clip made by hand takes about 30 minutes of someone's time, and about 11 with Clyper doing the finding, cutting, framing and captions:

One clip's minutes, by hand and with Clyper (the clipping rate calculator's example minutes, assumed)

Credits add as little as $0.10 a clip on top. At 120 clips a month, that's about 60 hours of work by hand and 22 with Clyper. The minutes are examples, not measurements: put your own into the clipping rate calculator, which also turns them into a price per clip.

Credits that grow with your client list

A credit is a minute of a client's video, however many clips you take from it, so a plan is how much video you can clip in a month. Take the most clips a video can give, one for every 2 minutes, and billed yearly a clip costs:

What Pro and Studio's sizes clip in a month, billed yearly, at the most clips a video can give
PlanCredits a monthVideo it coversClips, up toBilled yearlyA clip
Pro4006 h 40 min200$19/mo$0.10
Studio1,00016 h 40 min500$48/mo$0.10
Studio 2×2,00033 h 20 min1,000$96/mo$0.10
Studio 4×4,00066 h 40 min2,000$192/mo$0.10

Studio covers about 8 clients at 60 clips a month each, and Studio 2× and Studio 4× give 2× and 4× the credits at the same price per clip, so you change size as clients come and go. Take fewer clips from each video and each costs more credits; every video uses at least 10, and a video that gives no clips has its credits returned.

Price the clips, keep the margin

Clients pay for clips and what they do for their channel, not for your hours, so sell monthly packages and let a faster workflow raise your margin. Our pricing guide's worked examples assume 15 clips from each hour of a client's video, 6 minutes of your time on each delivered clip at $40 an hour, and the smallest Clyper plan that covers the video:

Win clients with clips of their own videos

The strongest pitch is three clips made from a prospect's latest video. Clyper takes any public or unlisted YouTube link, with no channel check, so you can make them before anyone signs: an hour-long video is 60 credits however many clips you take, up to 30, and you send the three with the strongest hooks.

Send samples privately, and post a client's clips only with their permission. How to get clipping clients has the messages to send and where to find creators who need clips, and is clipping legal? explains why permission matters.

Choosing clipping agency software

For an agency, four questions decide it: how many client videos can you queue at once, can each client keep their own look, is there a watermark, and what does a clip cost at your volume? On Clyper: 10 links at once with priority processing on Studio, up to 10 saved caption styles, no watermark on any plan, and credits by the minute of video, from about $0.10 a clip.

Questions

What software do clipping agencies need?

A tool that turns long videos into clips fast, keeps each client's look and costs little per clip, and a way to deliver. Clyper's Studio plan is made for agencies: bulk import of up to 10 YouTube links, priority processing, a brand kit with up to 10 caption styles of your own, and a hook headline on every clip.

How do agencies make clips at scale?

By batching: each client's new videos queued together, an AI first pass that finds, cuts, frames and captions the moments, then a person who picks the strongest by hook score, polishes them and delivers on a set day each week.

Can each client have their own caption style?

Yes. The brand kit on Pro and Studio keeps up to 10 caption styles of your own, each with its font, colors, size and placement and the color of the headline box. Pick one when you start a batch or edit a clip.

Can I deliver Clyper's clips to my clients?

Yes. The clips are yours to download, edit and deliver, with no watermark on any plan. Clip clients' videos with their permission.

What does a clip cost on Studio?

Studio is $48 a month billed yearly for 1,000 credits, up to 500 clips: about $0.10 a clip when you take the most clips from each video. Studio 2× and Studio 4× give more credits at the same price per clip.

Does Clyper post to my clients' accounts?

No. Clyper makes the clips; you download them and deliver them, or post them yourself if you run the client's accounts.

What if a client's video isn't on YouTube?

Upload the file: MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 4 GB, from 1 minute to 4 hours long. Bulk import takes YouTube links; uploads go in one at a time.
