Clyper vs Vizard

Vizard is a capable clipper with a free plan and an editor you can spend all day in. Clyper is for people who'd rather not. Paste a link and every clip comes back cut to whole sentences, framed on whoever's talking and captioned clear of every app's buttons, ready to post as it is.

Our take

We make Clyper, so this is the case for it. What we say about Vizard comes from Vizard's own pages.

Vizard sells more minutes for the money, and it has a free plan. Clyper is the better pick if what you're really paying for is clips you don't have to work on. Each one starts and ends on a whole sentence, keeps the speaker in frame, has captions on every word in 50+ languages and a hook score, so the first post can go out minutes after you paste the link.

Vizard is the cheaper choice if you clip hundreds of hours a month and don't mind finishing each clip in its editor.

Why clippers choose Clyper over Vizard

  1. Each clip is as long as its moment

In Vizard you pick a length range, from under 30 seconds to 3 minutes, or let it decide, and then refine the clips in its editor. Clyper works from the words. It picks moments that make sense without the rest of the video and cuts each from the line that hooks to the line that lands, 20 to 60 seconds, on whole sentences. Nothing starts mid-thought or trails off after the point.

  2. Captions in 50+ languages, placed where they can be read

Vizard transcribes 40 languages (and can translate captions into 128). Clyper captions what's actually said in 50+, word by word, in five styles made for clips, and keeps them out from under TikTok's, Reels' and Shorts' buttons. You can see where those are with the safe zone checker.

  3. Made for a lot of links

Studio takes 10 YouTube links at once and comes with 1000 minutes a month, up to 500 clips. Paste a week of a podcast in one go, come back to the clips ranked by hook score, and post the best first.

What it costs

Vizard gives you more minutes per dollar. Its Creator plan is 600 minutes a month for $29, or $14.50 billed yearly, which works out to $0.0242 a minute. Clyper Pro is 400 minutes for $38, or $19 billed yearly: $0.0475 a minute.

If price per minute is the only thing you're comparing, Vizard wins. What it doesn't count is the time after the clips arrive: checking where each one starts, fixing captions, working out which to post. That's the part Clyper takes off your plate, and if you post every day, it's worth more than a few dollars a month.

Where Vizard does more

Vizard has a free plan, an editor that works on the transcript or a timeline, AI B-roll and emojis, 4K exports, and posting and scheduling to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook Pages. It translates captions into 128 languages and takes videos up to 10 hours on paid plans.

Clyper keeps to the clip. Its clips are 1080 × 1920 MP4s with no watermark, so whatever you already edit or schedule with works with them.

Switching from Vizard

  1. Take a link you've already clipped in Vizard and paste it into Clyper.
  2. Put the two sets side by side. Look at where each clip starts and ends, who's in frame and how the captions read.
  3. Keep whichever you'd post. If it's Clyper's, Starter is $20 a month with no commitment. For what makes a clip worth posting, see how to make clips that go viral.

Questions

Is Clyper better than Vizard?

For clips you can post as they come, we think so: each is cut to whole sentences, framed on whoever's talking, captioned in 50+ languages and scored for its hook, and Studio takes 10 links at once. Vizard is cheaper per minute and has a free plan.

Is Vizard cheaper than Clyper?

Per minute of video, yes. Vizard's Creator plan gives 600 minutes a month for $29, or $14.50 billed yearly; Clyper Pro gives 400 for $38, or $19 billed yearly. Both charge a credit for each minute.

Does Vizard add a watermark?

On its free plan, which also exports at 720p and lets projects expire after 3 days. Its paid plans don't. Clyper has no watermark on any plan, and no free plan.

Which is better for clippers?

Clyper, if you want clips to post straight away, framed, captioned and scored, with up to 30 per video and 10 links at once on Studio. Vizard, if the lowest price per minute matters most and you'll edit each clip.

Can Clyper post to TikTok for me?

No. You download the clips and post them yourself, which lets you write each post for its app and campaign. Vizard can post and schedule for you.
