Klap pricing in 2026

Klap sells clips: 100 a month on Basic for $29, or $14 a month billed yearly, 300 on Pro and 1,000 on Pro+, and each clip it makes counts. Here's every plan, what a clip comes to, the free video, and what a month of clipping costs. Clyper charges for minutes of video instead, so the more clips you take from each video, the better its price compares.

Pro+$189/mo$94/mo1,000 clips a month

Prices are in US dollars before tax. Klap's pricing page shows the yearly prices, a month each, and its home page's answers give both: the yearly ones, and $29, $79 and $189 month to month. Every plan includes AI clipping, unlimited social accounts and analytics, and for more than Pro+'s 1,000 clips, its pricing page asks you to get in touch.

Klap's free video

Klap lets you try it on one video, with no credit card. Its home page says it turns the video into clips you can preview and edit, and that downloading and posting clips needs a paid plan. Paid exports carry no Klap branding.

Clyper has no free plan. Starter is $20 month to month, for 150 minutes of video, less than Klap's Basic month to month, and every plan's clips download as 1080p MP4s with no watermark.

How Klap counts clips

Each Klap plan is a number of clips a month, and its pricing page puts it plainly: “Only pay for clips you generate.” So what a video costs depends on how many clips come out of it, not how long it is. Its developer docs let a project ask for 1 to 60 clips, and left to itself, it picks a number from the video's length; they put paid plans' longest video at 3 hours.

Clyper counts the other way: a credit is a minute of video, at least 10 a video, and you choose how many clips each video gives, up to one for every 2 minutes and 30 at most. So the more clips you take from a video, the less each costs on Clyper.

A clip, with the plan's clips used up
PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearly
Klap Basic$0.29$0.14
Klap Pro$0.26$0.13
Klap Pro+$0.19$0.09
Clyper Starter$0.27Monthly only
Clyper Pro$0.19$0.10
Clyper Studio$0.19$0.10

In US dollars. Clyper's are at the most clips, one for every 2 minutes of video. At that rate, a clip costs less on Clyper's Pro and Studio than on Klap's Basic and Pro, billed the same way, and about the same as on Pro+.

What a month of clipping costs on Klap

Say you clip 5 one-hour videos a month. On Klap, what that costs depends on the clips: take 10 from each, about what Clyper's Auto aims for from an hour, and it's 50 clips, inside Basic's 100; take 30 from each, the most Clyper gives from an hour, and it's 150, which takes Pro.

On Klap

  • 50 clips (10 from each video)

Basic: $14 a month, billed yearly

    or $29 month to month

  • 150 clips (30 from each video, the most Clyper gives)

Pro: $39 a month, billed yearly

    or $79 month to month

In US dollars, as its pricing page lists them.

On Clyper

Pro

$19a month, billed yearly

or $38 month to month

  • 300 of its 400 minutes a month, with 100 to spare
  • Up to 150 clips, 30 from each video, for the same price as fewer
  • $3.80 a video, or $0.13 a clip at the most clips, billed yearly

On Clyper the five videos are 300 minutes, so it's Pro either way: $19 a month billed yearly, or $38 month to month, in US dollars, for up to 150 clips. Up to 20 clips from each video, Klap's Basic costs less; past that, Klap takes Pro, and Clyper costs less, by $20 a month billed yearly and $41 month to month.

Why clippers pick Clyper over Klap

  1. Take as many clips as you want, for the same price

On Clyper, a video costs its minutes, so asking for 30 clips from an hour costs the same as asking for 10. At the most clips, one for every 2 minutes of video, a clip comes to $0.10 on Pro billed yearly, against $0.14 on Klap's Basic and $0.13 on its Pro. On Klap, every clip it makes counts against the month's.

  2. Cheaper to start

Clyper Starter is $20 month to month for 150 minutes of video, up to 75 clips. Klap's Basic is $29 month to month for 100 clips. A month of Starter is enough to see what Clyper makes of your videos.

  3. Videos up to 4 hours

Klap's docs put the longest video on its paid plans at 3 hours. Clyper clips up to 4 hours of a video at a time, by YouTube, Twitch, Google Drive or Dropbox link or by upload, and a longer one a part at a time, so long streams and marathon podcasts don't have to be cut in half first.

  4. Clips ready to post as they come

Every clip runs 20 to 60 seconds, starts and ends on a whole sentence, follows whoever's talking, and is captioned word by word above the apps' usernames and captions, with a hook score so you know which to post first. They download as 1080p MP4s with no watermark on any plan.

Does Klap have a free plan?

It lets you try one video free, with no credit card, and its home page says downloading and posting clips needs a paid plan. Clyper has no free plan; its Starter plan is $20 a month, month to month.

How does Klap count clips?

Each clip it makes counts against the month's: its pricing page says you only pay for clips you generate. So a video's cost is its clips, not its length.

What does a clip cost on Klap?

With a plan's clips used up, $0.14 on Basic billed yearly and $0.29 month to month, $0.13 and $0.26 on Pro, and $0.09 and $0.19 on Pro+.

Is Clyper cheaper than Klap?

It depends on how many clips you take from each video, since Clyper charges for minutes of video and Klap for clips. At the most clips Clyper gives, one for every 2 minutes, a clip costs $0.10 on Clyper Pro billed yearly, against $0.14 on Klap's Basic and $0.13 on its Pro. Which is better for clippers, Klap or Clyper?

We'd pick Clyper: the price doesn't go up with the clips, it starts at $20 a month, it takes videos up to 4 hours, and every clip comes cut to whole sentences, framed, captioned and scored. If you take only a few clips from each video, Klap's Basic costs less.
