The going rate per 1,000 views

Of the 22 campaigns live when we checked, 16 published a rate per 1,000 views, 3 paid a share of a pool and 3 didn't publish their terms. The rates ran from $0.35 to $2.50 per 1,000 views, with a median of $1: half paid that or less, half that or more. The most common band was $1 to $1.49, with 7 of the 16.

  • $1 to $1.497 campaigns
  • $1.50 to $1.991 campaign
  • $2 to $2.995 campaigns

16 campaigns with a published rate, live when we checked. Each band runs up to the next one's lowest rate.

A rate is per 1,000 views a clip gets on the apps a campaign counts, paid for the views that meet its rules, and a campaign stops paying when its budget runs out. A pool works another way: a set budget split among the clippers by the share of the views each brought in. How each works is in the clipping glossary and how much clippers make.

The views a clip needs before it pays

15 of the 16 campaigns with a rate set a minimum: a clip under it earns nothing. The minimums ran from 2,000 to 10,000 views a clip, a median of 5,000. Pools set the bar across all your clips instead: 350,000 to 1,000,000 approved views before you get a share.

Caps: the most one clip can earn

15 of the 16 campaigns with a rate set a cap on what one clip can earn, from $100 to $1,000, a median of $400; 1 lists no cap. At their rates a clip reaches its cap at 100,000 to 1,000,000 views, so a cap only matters on a clip that takes off.

What the going rate means for a month of clips

Take the median rate, $1 per 1,000 views, and 15,000 views a clip, the example in the calculator on Clyper's home page: each clip pays $15. That clears every minimum above and is under every cap. Here's how many clips a month that takes for a few monthly goals, and the Clyper plan whose credits make that many.

What it costs

A credit is a minute of video, so a plan is how much video you can clip in a month, however many clips it makes. A 4-hour stream uses 240 credits and can give up to 30 clips.

How this report works

  • One campaign a creator. Each creator on our clipping programs pages has the campaign that was live when we read their listing, or their latest round. A brand's round for the same creator can pay more.
  • Rates as listed. The rate, minimum and cap are what the listing said that day, before bonuses. Pools and campaigns whose terms weren't public are counted, but not in the rates.
  • Ended campaigns are kept apart. A campaign that had ended when we checked is listed on its own and left out of the numbers. One that was live and has passed its listed end date since stays in, marked, since it's what paid that month.
  • Checked between October 23 and October 27, 2026. The table gives each campaign's date, and this page changes when a creator's terms are checked again.

Questions

What's the going rate for clipping per 1,000 views?

As of October 2026, the 16 clipping campaigns we checked that publish a rate paid a median of $1 per 1,000 views, from $0.35 to $2.50. Another 3 campaigns paid a share of a pool instead, split by views.

How many views does a clip need to get paid?

Of the 16 campaigns with a rate, 15 set a minimum a clip must reach before it's paid: from 2,000 to 10,000 views a clip, a median of 5,000. Pools set theirs across all your clips: 350,000 to 1,000,000 approved views for a share.

What's the most one clip can earn?

15 of the 16 campaigns with a rate set a cap on what one clip can earn, from $100 to $1,000, a median of $400. At their rates, a clip reaches the cap at 100,000 to 1,000,000 views.

How many clips does it take to make $1,000 a month clipping?

At the median rate, $1 per 1,000 views, and 15,000 views a clip, a clip pays $15, so $1,000 takes 67 clips a month, about 2 a day. Clyper's Starter plan, at $20 a month, makes up to 75 clips a month.

When were these terms checked?

We read each campaign's listing between October 23 and October 27, 2026, and the table gives each one's date. Campaigns open, change and close every week, so check the listing before you clip. This page is worked out from those terms and changes when they're checked again.

Is Clyper part of these campaigns?

No. Clyper isn't affiliated with any creator, agency or marketplace on this page. Clyper makes the clips: paste a full stream, episode or video and it finds the moments worth posting, frames them vertically and captions them, ready to submit to a campaign.

Sources
